Git package for Tiger?

Reported by James Puckett | March 1st, 2009 @ 07:01 PM

Does anybody know where I can download a Git package for OS X 10.4? I’d rather not have to track down all the dependencies…

I personally use MacPorts, but that may be pretty heavy water if you're not a hardcore Unix person.

    Best of luck!

    • Tag set to 10.4, git, installer, mac
    • State changed from “new” to “open”

I’ve just had a quick google and came up with a few results. There seem to be two dependency issues (other programs that Git relies on to work properly), which don’t seem to come on Mac OS 10.4 or are outdated versions in 10.4. People seem to definitely have gotten it working, so it’s possible.

One chap reported success with this: http://metastatic.org/text/Conce...

Let us know how it goes.

Edit: Ralph beat me to it. (:
